Hand
• A player's cards.

Heads Up
• Playing against one other opponent.

Help Card
• A card that improves a player's hand.

High Card
• Lowest possible winning hand. If no hand contains a pair, the hand that has the highest value card wins.

High Hand
• The best hand in any round of poker.

High-Low
• Games where half the pot goes to the highest ranking poker hand and half goes to the lowest ranking poker hand.

Hit
• A deal contained cards that help your hand. If you have AK, and the flop comes K-7-2, it hit you.

Hold'em
• Also known as Texas Hold 'em, where the players get two down cards and five community cards.

Hole Cards
• Cards dealt face down in front of the players.

House
• The casino or cardroom that is hosting the poker game.

House Rules
• Game rules, established by the house, which may differ from the standard/official way games are played.
